This morning at the campground we were greeted by this family who were so interested  to hear about the Peace Run. we held a mini ceremony for them and they delighted the team with a very cute handmade gift......

Chintamani named our new little friends 'Peace' and 'Run'

And gave each of them pride of place in the two Peace Run vehicles.

Off to a great start.

Some very nice people from Alaska met Preetidutta running by.

Passing fields of wheat.

On our way to McMinnville City Hall we came across some interesting characters. Chintamani never has trouble making friends with anyone.

The women's team had such a lovely encounter with Hannah who has been selling fruit from this stand since she was eight years old. She actually remembers seeing the torch run past her stall when she was about ten! Today she finally got to meet the team and hear about the torch she has been seeing over the years.

We met a very nice lady, Pam, who was so happy to hear about the Peace Run.

Some entrepreneurial kids offering a car wash.

Weston and his grandma Miranda gave us some honey from the bees they keep in their very own garden.

Thank you Weston. Keep spreading peace, joy and... honey... to all.

We love honey!

We past by a farmers market where we met so many very nice people who had the ideals of the Peace Run deep in their hearts. This lady spoke German to Chintamani, she had lived in Austria!

Running to the cafe stop.

Finally a deserving drink.

Entering the city of McMinnville we were warmly welcomed by Mayor Kim Morris and the City Manager, Adam Garvin.

They eagerly ran with us a few blocks for peace.

Thank you both for taking the time on a Saturday to meet with the Peace Run team. We felt your good will and dedicated service to your city and hence to the world at large.

Off we run, again.

Jackson Kimble from Tigard Life met the men's team as they passed through town.

An exciting part of our schedule today was visiting the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, one of the most impressive museums in the Pacific Northwest.

Thank you kindly for allowing us to enjoy your amazing museum.

Touch a real piece of the moon!

Chintamani loved the space museum.

The museum is home to the legendary Spruce Goose, the largest wooden aircraft ever built. Designed by Howard Hughes during WW11, it flew only once in 1947

Ava and Lilia from the museum accepted our certificate of appreciation for generously allowing us free entry.

Running for the lake.

A quick dip in the lake is the best medicine for tight muscles.

The team were warmly invited to Joyce's house, Natabara's mom. It was so nice for us all to meet such a special lady and hear her impressions of the Peace Run and how meeting Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the Peace Run, touched her heart.

A very sincere thank you to Joyce for all her love and joy, delicious Thai food, and the warmest smile.
