A powerful sun rises on another eventful day on the Peace Run.

Early morning light renders Bhavaterini's beautiful garden serene and peaceful.

We have a workout session scheduled in "Pearl's Gym" to earn our breakfast; so quit your bellyaching, friends and get to it!

Bhavaterini explains the machines with patience and expertise. She still has friends come over for early morning sessions multiple times per week.

Peace Run Founder Sri Chinmoy with Bhavaterini and husband Mahasamrat - Mr. Universe Bill Pearl!

Brenda and Mark treat us to a scrumtious breakfast at Debby's Diner.

Debby's Diner - a true American institution in the heart of Talent.

We have a little ceremony out in the carpark to thank Brenda, Mark, Bhavaterini and her sister Paula for their generosity and kind hearts.

Sister power :)

A "Talented" group!

Time to say goodbye and drive back to the coast to continue our route direction north.

We've arrived in Coos Bay - a true seaside town :)

Coos Bay is the birthplace of Steve Prefontaine, stellar runner, Olympian and a major inspiration for America's 1970ies running "boom". He died aged 24 in a car crash. His spirit lives on!

In Coos Bay we are treated by our friend Parvati from Eureka, Oregon, to a healthy and tasty lunch at vegan Tin Thistle Cafe.

The powerhouse ladies of The Tin Thistle holding the Peace Torch in their cute backyard.

We perform our World Harmony Run song for Parvati and thank her for treating us to lunch.

Parvati also prepared giftbags full of yummy treats for the road as well as uplifting and inspiring writings about Oregon, which is soon becoming our new favourite state ;)

Time to (dis)cover Oregon's beautiful and diverse landscapes and coastal towns by running!

In Oregon we can also light our Peace Torch again!

The flickering flame adds a special feeling when carrying it mile after mile, passing so many people on streets and roads ...

Parvati and Dhavala sending Suhasini on her stretch ...

Our stretch ended at the famous Oregon dunes.

The dunes stretch from the woods to the sea - a unique vista!

Mexican team member Santiva was delighted to make the acquaintance of this "abuela" from Mexico who now lives in Eureka and had her family visiting from Las Vegas. They all absorbed the spirit of the Peace Run and proudly pose with the Peace Torch. Fué un placer conocerlos, amigos!

After we set up our tents at the Sutton Campground near Florence, we drive a short way to take in the sunset near Heceta Head Lighthouse.

Underneath lie the biggest water caves of America - home to a big sea lion colony.

A magical spot!

Heceta Head Lighthouse

"What do you want? I want peace. Meditate on the setting sun." Sri Chinmoy

A beautiful sickle moon takes over the sky and bids us good night! What a beautiful day inundated with human kindness and nature's beauty!
