Mo i Rana - Mosjøen

Reported by Gordana Petrovčić 89.0 km

Welcome to Norway!  This year, the Nordic leg of the International Peace Run followed the Blue Road from Finland’s eastern border, through Sweden, finally arrived to Mo i Rana in Norway.  The Blue Road was once seen as a network of roads connecting the nations and shared cultural area of Northern countries; it was even called the “Peace Road.” The road network aimed to increase Nordic cooperation and a sense of community. While the reasons for its construction were partly practical, there was always an idealistic hope for unity among the people.

Although outside temperature was pretty cold, ahead of us was a warm day full of friendship, oneness and amazing meetings!

The first group of the students was waiting to run with us.

We run together to the Basmo primary school..

... and met more than 300 children!

To find peace inside our heart first is a great start for a more peaceful world.

While playing with the kids, our dear team member Andrey found his inner child again.

We are getting ready for running to the next school...

Here is only one way from here! And that is up! (which also happens to be uphill in this case).

The Peace Run arrived at Dalsgrenda Montessori school!

Students made a bonfire!

Students sang happy birthday song for our runner Komal! Such a nice surprise!

Thank you so much for nice refreshment!

As you can see, we really enjoyed it!

The principal of the school embraced the Peace Run with her open heart.
