San Jose

Reported by Dipavajan Renner 5.0 km

We left the capital city behind and travelled to the Pacific Coast for a local event in San Jose.

The temperature climbed up over 35ºC!

...still there are refreshments around...

Our team!

...and our guides....

...a run through the city...

..the local TV crew cheered us...

...we approached our firsat meeting: the "Colegio San Jose".

...a heartfelt welcome...

..big smiles on all faces....

...the students passed the torch while they sang their national anthem for us...

...and a traditional group picture....

Thank you for the warm welcome!

...we said good bye and went on to the next meeting...

..students from the Colegio San Jose carried the torch through the city...

...new means of transportation for photographers...

...the whole family fits on a scooter...

As we approached the city hall, we were greeted by a brass band...

...too small for the banner...

The mayor of San Jose welcomed the runners and received the torch with kind words.

Vettri entertained the students from three schools: Colegio Santa Maria, Liceo Alfa y Omega and Colegio San Jose.

..as we did the actions for the song, the mayor joined in as well...

...the torch went from hand to hand...

Also a big Thank You to the "Colegio Santa Maria"...

..and to "Liceo Alfa y Omega" for participating in the Peace Run

...the final run: the mayor lead the runners through the centre of the city...

Special thanks to the police force of San Jose for the safe guidance!

...a well deserved refreshment...

We ended the Peace Run event with a side trip to the Pacific Ocean. A great event! Thanks to all organisers!
