Clearwater, FL - Tallahasssee, FL

Reported by Rupasi Young

Today the team embarks on a cross state journey of driving to meet certain deadlines and mile markers further down the road on our peace running journey around the United States.

Some people split old and new Peace Run duties including time on the phone arranging meetings and other related outreach, since we are not running today.

Our accommodations this evening were in a lovely campground, with an excellent view from a local fire lookout.  Even though their was a huge storm just a few miles down the road, we found our campground nearly dry.

our meal is ready.

At our campground, a wonderful group of interested individuals happened by.  It was our joy that they decided to join us for a short time and learn about the Peace Run.

The Florida Competition Paddlers Association filled us in on the races they organize and also participate in.  They all love paddling and organize events for those of like mind.

They each took a moment to hold the torch and offer their hope for a more peaceful and positive world.

A good natured group of new friends, we enjoyed their company immensely.  Thank you for coming by!

Then a nice frizbee toss to finish up a fine day.  Tomorrow we move on to Tallahassee and continuing our Peace Run journey.
