Reported by Sadanand Magee 70.0 km

We started our first day of Peace Run in the rain. The team is full of smiles regardless.

Running through lush green vegetation.

Petra is smiling as usual.

Jana from Czech Republic sets the pace.

A beautiful waterfall in the distance.

Reaching the top of a long hill!

Spot the rainbow!

Our first meeting of the day is at the Glencree Centre for Peace and reconciliation. We are warmly welcomed by Eamon Rafter who is training officer the centre.

Eamon tells us about the nobel initiatives of the centre in creating channels of dialogue in working towards harmony and understanding between people of all different backgrounds.

Time for tea and cakes.

...or for some shopping!

Angel of Peace.

On the road again.

The rolling green hills of Wicklow.

The Team receives a hearty welcome from An Cathaoirleach (Mayor) of Dun Laoghaire and Rathdown, Barry Saul.

An Cathaoirleach Saul holds the torch with his fellow councillors.

The Final meeting of the day is at Newpark summer camp in Blackrock.

Our UK runners entertain the children.

Natabara does his impression of the statue of Liberty.

Magic fingers!

Everyone follows the actions of the World Harmony Run song.

A moment of Peace.

Everyone gets an opportunity top hold the Peace torch.

Many happy faces.

Many, many happy faces!

High five!

Enjoying the sun by the sea.
