Stykkishólmur - Hellissandur

Reported by Salil Wilson 74.0 km

Our morning began with a 100 meter to run to our first event in the sports field of Stykkishólmur.

Við hófum daginn á að hlaupa 100m á íþróttavöllinn á Stykkishólmi þar sem við hittum krakka úr vinnuskólanum.

The local youth who were cleaning up the village and doing gardening came out to support us.

Krakkarnir höfðu gaman að.

Pierre and Natabara had a competition on the monkey bars.

Suren started us off running.

Pierre var næstur.

Björg Hermannsdóttir, 14 years old, from Grundarfjörður joined us for 2 km into town.

Hin efnilega íþróttastúlka, Björg Hermannsdóttir, hljóp með okkur síðasta spölinn inn í Grundarfjörð.

Björg is an aspiring sprinter and long jumper but fortunately she kept her speed in check.

Björg er efnilegur spretthlaupari og langstökkvari, en hún var mjög kurteis við okkur og hélt aftur af hraðanum.

Thank you for coming out to join with us.

Takk fyrir Grundarfjörður!

A beautiful black sand beach was right next to the road so Salil began his miles along the beach.

Falleg strönd var rétt við veginn, þannig að Salil ákvað að hlaupa þar.

The Arctic Terns were making their presence felt today.

Krían lét í sér heyra í dag.
