The Peace Runners arrive at the final state on the 50 state journey here in the US, Hawaii!

Hurricane Lowell has had a huge impact on the Islands. Schools have been closed, so the team decided to explore the island.

A beautiful run along Makaha Beach.

The crystal clear waters off Makaha Beach were surrounded by majestic mountains. A true paradise!

The team accommodations are in a peaceful and serene neighborhood.

Nearby, the team found a Hawaiian Heiau, an ancient Hawaiian temple or place of worship ranging from simple stone clearings to massive, terraced rock platforms.

Lot of debris littered the route to the Heiau, as the hurricane knocked over so many trees and scattered branches everywhere.

Hurricane Lowell flooded streets and sand covered the roads.

The team worked its way through heavy traffic and finally made it to the ocean. Finally, a Peace Run in Hawaii, seven miles from Kailua Beach to Lanikai Pillbox.

Making a few friends along the way.

Making a new friend who shared a wish for peace. Afterwards, she asked her coworkers to come out and hold the torch.

More peace lovers.

More peace loving friends happy to participate.

Gorgeous vistas along the way to the top.

Mother Nature at its best!

Thank you Hawaii! We are very grateful to be here in paradise. We can't wait to visit schools tomorrow.

Beautiful Hawaiian Sunset..... 'May my life be between the sunrise-beauty and the sunset-peace'.  Sri Chinmoy
