Thank you to Spark by Hilton for supplying us with accommodation in the city of Florence, South Carolina.

First run of the day.

At the Athletics Track in Florence, the Mayor and city officials are waiting to receive us.

The Mayor of Florence, Lethonia Barnes, receives the Torch Bearer Award and offers a proclamation from the city of Florence.

She says, "I hope the vision and the message of this cause will continue to go on forever and ever for our nation and the world".

The Mayor and her colleagues take a run around the track with the torch.

Scotty Davis, the City Manager, holds the torch.

Amanda stopped the runners to see the torch in Florence.

Ruth and her son Matt in Florence.

Madina is enjoying her last day on the Peace Run before she returns to Kazakhstan.

By and by we run by the Bayou.

Running through the town of Peneal.

Melinda is waiting for her truck to get fixed and takes the opportunity to hold the torch.

This is a man we met with his two dogs who told us: "To advocate for Peace, for me, puts you on the top of the list. We encourage you, may God continue to bless you, and strengthen your feet so you may run and never get tired".
