Rasmivan happily points out our next destination. This morning we rode 10 miles from Kellogg, Idaho to Wallace.

There we happily met up with our friend Kundana's brother, Tim, and his wife Donna. They own the Ryan Motel in Wallace.

The next day after riding for over 50 miles from Wallace we finally entered into the 'Big Sky Country' of the beautiful State of Montana.

The endless Rocky mountains and the deep green forests were a sight to behold, especially on bicycles.

It turned out to be above our heads high up on a railroad trestle. We had to haul our bikes up a steep trail to get to our path.

We had an amazing time in Missoula on our day off. We were kindly hosted by Jim sayers and his wife Wendy.

They very graciously and generously made their home ours for two nights. Jim is the former president of Adventure Cycling Association. The next day he took us all over town showing us lots of really amazing and interesting things Missoula had to offer.

At the Adventure Cycling headquarters it is traditional that everyone who is riding across America gets their photograph put up on the noticeboard. We were the 12th and 13th people for this year, 2025.

Later we met Nicole Mitchell, Director of the Jeannette Rankin Peace Center. We had a wonderful dinner with her at Jim's house, and made some future plans for the Peace Run when it comes through here in the summer of 2026.

Reluctantly we had to leave wonderful Missoula and head on the road to Drummond. Jim very kindly escorted us for the first 4 miles ensuring we took the scenic route.

The next day we took some fascinating back road trails which were used by the stagecoaches over 150 years ago as we made our way from Drummond to Deer Lodge.

Looks like a great place to stay, but we just passed this one up on our way into the Rocky Mountains.

We stopped for a visit to the Grant-Kohrs National Historic Site where we saw some fascinating modes of transportation for the late 1800's.

This scenic view evokes the sense of vastness as well as timelessness, as we enjoy the wonders, past and present, of this endlessly beautiful country.
This epic Peace Ride reminds us of the words of Sri Chinmoy, Founder of the Peace Run:
"Paul Revere rode. America is still riding. The world is openly watching and secretly admiring."
