As we entered the school assembly at Chinook Elementary we were delighted to see this message which resonated deeply.
This was our biggest school with over 400 students.
Everybody was up and cheering the school.
This teacher, Andrew Blakenburg, was selected by his peers to receive our Torch-Bearer award. for his exemplary service to to students and the school as a whole community.

Anchorage is a popular place for cruises and this couple was just about to embark on a cruise.

We heard there were whales swimming by.
We were thrilled to see a number of Cook Inlet beluga whales who were swimming surprisingly close to shore. There are critically endangered so we felt very fortunate to see them.
