Video of the days events. Enjoy!

This morning, a large group of runners from over 30 countries paid a visit to Indonesian School in Kota Kinabalu (SIKK).

The team received a delightful welcome with the students' gamelan musical performance

...followed by a beautiful and dynamic dance composition.

The Peace Torch was lit to mark the start of this special, collaborative program by Rotary District 3420 [Indonesia], Rotary district 3310 [Malaysia], SIKK (owned by Government of Indonesia), Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, and the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run.

National Anthems of both Malaysia and Indonesia were sung, followed by the Peace Run theme song composed by its founder Sri Chinmoy.

The children had prepared national flags of the runners' countries.

District Governor of Rotary 3420 Gusti Febri Dipokusumo gave a welcome remark.

Speech by Previous District Governor of Rotary 3310 Mr. Dato' Zaini followed.

We were honoured to have the President of Sri Chinmoy Centres International Ms. Ranjana Ghose (right) at the ceremony.

Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Executive Director Salil Wilson spoke.

Finally a beautiful book about Sabah was presented by Rotary District 3310.

As the last performance, these student dancers entertained us with their original, dynamic performance, combining both the traditional Indonesian and modern sounds and movements.

Dr. Agraha Levine from the Peace Run briefly introduced the proclamation of Sekolah Indonesia Kota Kinabalu as a Sri Chinmoy Peace School.

This temporary plaque proclaiming SIKK as a Sri Chinmoy Peace School will soon be replaced by a permanent plaque.

Now it's time to run! We had a joyful 1 km run near the school premise with the enthusiastic students and teachers.
