En el Campamento Jack Norment visitamos a los niños del Colegio Goethe Schule de Asunción.

We visited some school kids from the Goethe Schule Asunción when they were at the Camp Jack Norment.

Tuvimos una ceremonia llena de energía con los chicos de 11 años, que pasaron el fin de semana en el campamento.

We had a ceremony full of energy from the 11 year old kids during the weekend.

Al final de nuestra presentación corrimos juntos alrededor del salón.

At the end of the presentation we ran around the meeting hall.

Ofrecimos el Certificado de apreciación a uno de los padres encargados del evento.

We offered the certificate of appreciation to one of the enthusiastic parents, to be deliverd to the school.

El Campamento Jack Norment, que fué tambien nuestro hospedaje por 5 días, tiene varias hectáreas, es un bosque enorme lleno de fauna y aves exóticas.

The Campament Jack Norment, where we stayed for 5 days, is a huge forest, with several acres of beautiful nature and paths, it is the home of many exotic birds and animals.

Juanito, trabajó muy duro para hacer de este campamento lo que es hoy en día, el plantó muchos de los arboles hace decadas, anteriormente este lugar era un lote con tierra y unas cuantas palmeras.

Juanito, one of the founders of the Campament, work trough the years to make it looked like a forest, he himself planted many of the trees fifty years ago, before it had just a few palm trees.

Jorge el actual director del campamento cuenta sobre sus aventuras con Pujari cuando el era un niño y Pujari era uno de sus líderes del campamento en los años 70´s.

Jorge, the current campament director shares his hiking adventures with Pujari when he was just a kid and Pujari was his camp leader.

Visitamos a los niños en el medio de un servicio religioso, donde compartimos con ellos y pasamos la antorcha.

In the morning we visited some kids during a church service provided by the campament and gave a little presentation there.

Seguido, tuvimos una pequeña ceremonia donde plantamos un árbol de la paz con algunos de los chicos voluntarios.

Next, we had a small ceremony where we planted a Peace-Tree with some school kids.

Estabamos tan inspirados que plantamos un segundo árbol de la paz.

We were so inspired that we planted a second one!

Misión cumplida, 2 árboles de Paz plantados!!

Mission acomplished, 2 Peace-Trees!!

Al atardecer ofrecimos como un reconocimiento especial, la medalla del portador de la antorcha a Juanito Carter por su trabajo incansable para la comunidad de Paraguay, ofreciendo a niños y adultos espacios para fomentar; arte, teatro, recreación, deporte y retiros en la naturaleza.

Later on, we offered Juanito the Torch-Bearer Award Medal, for his tireless work and effort for the community of Caacupé and Asunción, he introduce kids to different art proyects, sports, theather, education and several other outdoor activities.

Juanito junto a su esposa Reneé (QEPD) llegaron desde muy jóvenes a Paraguay, originarios de Minnesota, ofrecieron sus vidas y ejemplos a los ciudadanos de Asunción y Caacupé.

Juanito, together with his wife Reneé (RIP), came from Minnesota at a very young age, offering their lifes and leading a good example for all the citizens of Caacupé and Asunción.

¿Mencionamos que Juanito tiene una afición especial por los títeres? Gracias Juanito por hospedar a nuestro equipo y por tanta chipa y sopa que comimos juntos!

Did we mention that Juanito is very fond of puppets? He showed us his special collection, with hundreds of puppets of all sizes. Thanks Juanito for hosting our team and for sharing the traditional Paraguayan chipa and sopa.
