Bunbury - Dardanup

Reported by Grahak Cunningham 17.0 km

Prabuddha, our most venerable team member, celebrated his birthday with us.

The team visited Sri Chinmoy Street in the BIG4 Bunbury Riverside Holiday Park, who have been our hosts for two days in a row.

Beside the calm waters of Koombana Bay, the Peace Run team visited the Dolphin Discovery Centre. Set on the shoreline and dedicated to conservation, education and research, the centre is an inspiring place where marine life is protected and people of all ages are invited to learn more about the natural world.

Much of this work is supported by devoted volunteers, whose cheerful service helps create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Special thanks to Charmaine, the volunteer coordinator, for her kind support and encouragement during the visit.

the team travelled on to Picton Primary School for a midday meeting, where students and staff gathered with enthusiasm to welcome the Torch and share in the message of peace.

We all shared a moment's peace together.

Our running skits raised a chuckle!

The staff got right into the spirit with a teachers' torch relay!

From Picton, the runners continued on to Dardanup Primary School for a 2.15pm arrival.

Once again the Peace Run was warmly received, and the afternoon carried forward the same spirit of friendship, goodwill and hope that had marked the whole day.
