We appreciate the hospitality of Fairfield Inn & Suites in Broomall

First runner today was Eva from Czech Republic, carrying the torch into a morning ceremony

We were inspired and impressed by the many offerings from the Ministry of Caring in Wilmington, DE, including their Secret Garden

Nuns who run the Ministry of Caring Day Care facility shared a moment of heart-felt peace

Mr. John Bates receives the Torch Bearer Award on behalf of the Ministry of Caring founder Brother Ronald Giannone

Dr. Isaias Irgau receives the Torch Bearer Award and shares with the team his inspiring book The Tigrayan Electrician

Dr. Irgau stands with his life-long friend Begabati Lennihan, who organized this Peace Run ceremony in her hometown of Wilmington

Mr. Bates takes a bit of soil from the garden. This sample will ultimately be combined with samples from the other 49 states and used to plant a Peace Tree.

Local residents Olivia and Mia both lived in Christchurch at one time--and serendipitously ran into New Zealand native Harita while she was running with the torch

Along the way, we met lots of local friends of peace  today...

Councilman Emile Brown met us at "Trees of Freedom" in Newark, DE to offer a proclamation declaring April 18 as Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Day

Emile shared some time and stories with our team before advising us of the best running route towards our next destination; it's always great to hear it from a local!

Sarankhuu from Mongolia was greeted by Josh from the Newark Post as he ran into Delaware from Pennsylvania

When we got to our final destination of the day, we were dwarfed by this colorful mural
