Chiseldon - Oxford

Reported by Devashishu Torpy 42.0 km

Our accommodation is Chiseldon House.

Our morning starts at The Croft Primary School in Swindon.

400 children are gathered to hear about the Peace Run.

The Head Teacher, Ms Elaine Murphy, receives a print of one of Sri Chinmoy's paintings titled Unity.

Each child holds the Peace Torch and each class has the opportunity to run with the Peace Torch.

Nina leads us on through the chalk hills. There are several 'White Horses' marked on the chalk hillsides in this area, some dating back 4000 years.

Many towns are decorated in the Union Jack, the British flag, to mark the upcoming 80th anniversary of VE Day. VE Day marks the end of the Second World War, and the day celebrates Peace.

Lunch time.

At the end of another glorious day we reach the City of Oxford.
