Our athletes performed a small play, fun and full of meaning, so the students could decide whether each gesture represented peace… or not.
As nossas atletas encenaram um pequeno teatro, divertido e cheio de significado, para que os alunos pudessem decidir se cada gesto representava paz… ou não.
The students’ performances were simply extraordinary — they filled our hearts with love. Between songs, choreography and dance, there was a bit of everything. They even gifted us with a song in six languages — Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, German, Russian and Chinese — a true celebration of unity among peoples.
As performances dos alunos foram simplesmente extraordinárias — encheram-nos o coração de amor. Entre músicas, coreografias e dança, houve de tudo um pouco. E ainda nos brindaram com uma música em seis línguas — português, inglês, francês, espanhol, alemão, russo e chinês — uma verdadeira celebração da união entre povos.

We continued running through the streets of Funchal. Did you know that Funchal began to be settled in 1424 and was elevated to city status in 1508? Today it has 105,795 inhabitants, according to the INE (2021 data). Living history all around us.
