Pöls - Hallstatt

Reported by Dipavajan Renner

A rainy morning could not dampen our spirit. We started in Pöls at the city hall.

Children from the primarz and secondarz school welcomed us...

...and some teachers got punishment for cheating...

...all the kids joined us for a short run to their school...

...the peace tree we planted last year grew already quite a bit...

...so cheerfullz we planted another one!

..a small forrest will surround the school in a couple of years...

Thank you Pöls for the nice welcome!

...wa started our climb up the "Triebener Tauern".

...green, juicy willows....

...a chilly, cold run uphill...

..we reached Hohentauern...

...and went to the local Kindergarden...

...the newest model of barefoot running shoes?

Thank you for the warm welcome!

...a long stretch to Hallstatt...

...Hallstatt is a real mystic place....

..the famous community gave even its name to an era in our history...

...a run along the lake - the tourists cheered...

...the market square - it was even rebuilt in China...

Hallstatt is also a famous for its tradition of putting painted sculls from former inhabitants on exhibition...

The mayor welcomed us in traditional clothing...

...and kindly received the torch...

...the tourists documented everything...

Thank you for the nice meeting and for the tasty icecream!
