Aotearoa, the land of the long white cloud...
An early running start amidst the clouds of Mangaweka.

Preetidutta's favourite running weather.

Arriving in Palmerston North, we are warmly welcomed by Roslyn School.

The flags represent the different nationalities of the students.

A moment of peace...

Rathin and his music bringing joy to all.

Adding their school value to our New Zealand Peace Tree.

The head girl and deputy head girl graciously receive a painting by Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the Peace Run. The deputy head boy receives a certificate of appreciation from the Peace Run.

Thumbs up for peace!

This young girl's name is Peace. She shares with us how important peace is to her.

We plant a beautiful tree for peace and the Roslyn School 'eco-warriors' do a fantastic job of making sure their new tree is happy in it's new home.

They clearly understand that plants need love and peace too.

Prayers are offered while the tree is planted.

...and then we all get to run with joy and proudly carry the Peace Torch around the field.

Here is a great runner!

We need a longer handle!

We are all one, united.

How high can you fly?

"Just one smile immensely increases the beauty of the universe." -Sri Chinmoy, founder of the Peace Run.

Enviroschool co-ordinator and teacher aide Jake Veza is doing a mighty fine job with these budding environmentalists.

The school's 'eco-warriors' selling vegetables grown in the school. The Peace Run team take the opportunity to shop for dinner.

After running the most beautiful Mangaweka scenic route, the girls team come across an oasis in Kimbolton, Hansen's cafe. Such friendly people who wish us the best for our journey and serve us the best icecream sundaes in town!

Thank you Lyn for a very comfortable stay at your lovely Palmerston North Motel. We had a well-needed rest and thoroughly enjoyed meeting you.
