Chasing first light across endless horizons.

Grand Canyon - a sacred homeland of Native American people whose connection to this land spans countless generations.

Our first stop for today was Flagstaff.

In the Run Flagstaff Store we were warmly welcomed by the store manager James (right) and the local runners

Everyone had an opportunity to hold the Peace Torch.

Second meeting with the Peace Run team for Sara Wagner. She remembered holding the torch when she first met us in 2014 on the trail of Grand Canyon.

Sara was overjoyed to meet our runner Sweta - her new Nepali friend. They had a beautiful conversation in Nepalese.  Sarah had lived in Nepal for some time when she served in the Peace Corps.

Thank you RUN FLAGSTAFF for organizing such a wonderful meeting!

Was a great 4 mile run around Flagstaff.

Met many curious peace lovers on the way.

In the afternoon we reached International Kadampa Retreat Center.

Quite moments in the temple.

Sunny break for a lunch.

Hitting the road on the historical Route 66.

Angel Delgadillo, the famous 99 years young barber from Seligman, Arizona is the guardian angel of Route 66. In 1987 he started the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona in an effort to bring it back as a historic highway.

The team met Angel`s daughter, Clarissa, in his original barbershop and had the honor to offer the Peace Run Torch Bearer Award to Angel in recognition of his lifetime efforts for a peaceful community.

Harita is ready for a haircut.

A hot day is always the best reason to enjoy the local ice cream.

Good evening Nevada!
