The Reverend Canon Dr Chris Collingwood receives us.

The Reverend Canon blesses the torch, and prays for the success of the Peace Run. He mentions that he has a book in his library by the founder of the Peace Run, Sri Chinmoy.

Head north runners, head north.

In the village of Helperby, Anne spies us from her living room and comes out to hold the torch.

The Chorister school in Durham greets us with multi coloured doves.

Jana leads the team to Framwellgate Moor Primary School.

The third school in Durham on our journey is Finchdale Primary School.

The schoolboys challenge our Brazilian runner, Carlos, to a game of footie.
