Mai 29, 2026 Live from the road

Storuman - Mo I Rana

Reported by Andrea Todic, Thamara Paiva 244.0 km

The first school meeting started early in the morning.

A group of small children was listening patiently to what we were presenting and they did their best to guess from which country we were coming from.

In the country guessing game Brazil is the country that the kids guess very quickly, and they get really excited about it.

Teaching the World Harmony Run song.

We love to run with the kids.

Kids love to hold the torch...

... and get the cards.

Blossoming spring.

Belinda Stenman from Stensele Skola happily received the Jharna-Kala card.

We met Melwin Kerro, a young 17 year old athlete who is training in the elites club of runners. His father was a very good athlete himself, so Melwin is inspired by him.

We asked him to share with us his personal best times for some races:

5km - 18'16 3km - 10'32 800m - 2'12

Along the way we found this beautiful map that shows the Blue Road from Vaasa (on the right side) to Mo I Rana.

NIharika was happy to show us on the map the city where she was born and lives - Vaasa.

Kamaniya and Andrea are good friends and they were happy to run together.

This school had many international kids and warmly welcomed us.

The girl running with Andrea is Bosnian just like her.

The kids are making a wish for world peace.

Gabriella Mikaelsson receives the Jharna-Kala card as a gift to the school.

Beautifull scenery.

We were delighted and in awe.

Tärnaby is known for it's succesful skiers.

Oskar Östergren Njajta greeted us in a community place which is a gallery, a restaurant and a gift shop all in one.

Pierre Ahrén is the artist whose pictures are presented in the gallery at that time.

We were excited to see a moose on the way...

... and some reindeers.

Comming closer to the Sweden-Norway border it was getting colder and colder. Parts of the Umea river were frozen here.

Happily crossing the border.

This border marks the end of Sweden Peace Run and the begining of Norway Peace Run.

In the evening we celebrated Komal's birthday with a cake and songs. Happy birthday Komal. Thank you for being a part of our team and sharing your kindness and happy smiles with us every day.
