Vaasa - Umeå

Reported by Andrea Todic 23.0 km

Ferry trip from Vaasa to Umeå started off with rain and clouds but very quickly went to sun and shine.

Sky - Vastness. Sea - Consciousness.

The arrival to windy Swedish shores, for some of our runners first time in Sweden.

Jatnaban was the first one to start the run. He keeps on being an inspiration in self-giving and willingness.

Andrey enthusiastically running his part in the windy area.

Thamara is a very strong and eager runner, she always wants to run more and more and more. The rest of the team is very happy with that.

Arrival in the city.

If you look closely you can easily see Sweden flags in the background.

Andrea spontaneously aproached Robert and Teodor to introduce the Peace Run. It turns out Teodor is from Croatia and Robert's dad comes from Bosnia. And since Andrea comes from Bosnia and Herzegovina it meant a lot to all to meet each other. Umeå is a famous university city so there are many students from the world there.

David and Aristote come from Kongo and were apsolutely delighted by the Peace run and the purpose of Peace.  They kindly asked us to come to Kongo with the Peace Run,  sharing some troubles that people are facing there and their hopes that it can be better. David (on the right) said he will join us in Kongo when the time comes, sharing that he will start running to prepare to run in his country.

We met some lovely children who said they apsolutely believe in World Peace and we are delightet how healthy in mind and heart these children are. Peace is real.

All in all felt like a rest day for the runners. Everyone was happy.
