The Womens Team starts out with their kilometers on our way to Colac. It is perfect running weather.

The Peace Runners were very happy to visit with Sacred Heart Primary School in Colac. We received such a warm welcome and were very happy to share with the students and teachers.

Thank you Principal Dwyer, it was great to meet you and a special thanks to Nicole Lynch. We felt fortunate to meet you.

Mayor of the Colac Otway Shire Council Jason Schram is waiting for us when we arrive. Born and raised in Colac, he exemplifies the warmth and kindness of the residents here. Everyone makes us feel very welcome. Colac Lake in the background and the beautiful Botanical Gardens are only a few reasons this town is so idyllic.

Wonderful and inspired students are very interested in the program. They very easily guess the countries peace runners are from.

Principal Michael Mahoney spoke with the students about the importance of peace just as the team arrived. He quoted the words of the newly installed Pope whose first words to the world began "Peace be upon you brothers and sisters..."

A special thank you to Sanjib from the Baronga Motor inn for graciously providing the womens team with a complimentary room.

The team received a special surprise when greeted by Samrat, Sanjib's son, who had just arrived from St. Mary's School and had enjoyed the Peace Run program at his school. Samrat was happy to carry the peace torch around the grounds at Baronga for a short Peace Run. Thank you Samrat. We hope to meet you again in the future.
