Den Haag - Winterswijk

The team arrive at the Parliament buildings in Den Haag

At 10 a.m. today we met with Michiel van Nispen, Dutch parliamentarian for the socialist party. We also met him last year, when he ran with us and invited some of his colleagues from other political parties to join. Michiel is a true supporter of the Peace Run.

He made a glowing speech, highlighting the importance of initiatives like the Peace Run that promote the importance of world-peace and keep the dream alive.

We sang the Peace Run song for him - as well as for the many onlookers present - and presented him with a book of photographs about the Peace Run.

Michiel happens to be an excellent runner with a marathon PB of 2:41. Today he joined us for a small run around the beautiful parliament buildings.

We are very grateful for his wholehearted support. And we'll definitely meet again in the future.

Windmills? In Holland?

A Dutch journalist spotted us running near Winterswijk and joined us to the German border. Thank you to the Netherlands for a wonderful run and great hospitality!
