We started the day in the EB1-JI de Esgueira school near our accommodation...

a great dynamic start into a busy day! Thanks for the welcome!

after the school more runners awaited us, as we launched a run around the city of Aveiro...

On the our way the students from EB23 Aires Barbosa joined the run...

The GNR team and the RI 10 from the Exercito Portugues ran with us and the kids...

...we reached the Escola Profissional de Aveiro.

..the kids lined up to give us "High Five"...

...The Escola Secundaria Jose Estevao and the Escola Secundaria Dr. Mario Sacramento were next...

together with the students we ran through the city....

...it was about to become a day of group pictures...

...on our way to the city hall, the EB23 Joao Afonso de Aveiro lead the runners...

...Mr. Elio Maia, the mayor of Aveiro, Dom Antonio Marcelino, bishop of Aveiro, and others representative of the city, welcomed our group of runners...

..and more group pictures...

...just as the kids ended their performance, a rain shower ended the meeting quickly...

..even the pigeons refused to take off...

The PSP of Aveiro held the torch before a nice run in the rain until the border of the city...

... we ran out and enjoyed a well-deserved lunch...

Thank you Aveiro for the hospitality!

...a last school in aveiro on the way South. The kids from the Jardim de Infancia Florinhas do Vouga welcomed us enthusiastically...

...push-ups for cheating...

..the kids sang the Peace Run Song much better than we did...

Welcome to Ilhavo!

...we visited the Secundaria Dr Joao Carlos Celestino Gomes School...

...and took the students on a lap around the school grounds...

...next was the EB23 Jose Ferreira Pinto Basto....

...after a short presentation we ran with the kids to the city hall...

The mayor of Ilhavo, Jose Ribau Esteves received the torch...

...a full programm of one hour ended the busy day!

Mrs. Lucia Pereira, Mr Pedro Pereira, Mr Julio Barreirinha held the torch with the Mayor.

Thank you for the nice meeting!

...the pigeons took off and we were looking forward for another day in Portugal...
