Cadiz - Pittsburgh PA

Reported by Tavishi Matthews 85.0 mi

At the start of the day, Drew Patterson from Clear Creek Coffee in Winterville offered the entire Peace Run Team his wonderful coffee free of charge.  He brought his two children, Mercy and Noah.  They had a magnificent time meeting all the runners.  We were super grateful!

We gave Drew a Certificate of Appreciation.

The men's team then ran out of Cadiz.

Dear oh dear!

We typically change runners every two miles.

We bade farewell to Ohio and entered West Virginia.

Our next destination was the Wheeling Arts Festival in Wheeling Park.

We gave a presentation on the festival stage.

Many people held our Peace Torch and offered their support to the Peace Run.

Collecting soil in West Virginia as part of the project to plant a Peace Tree in New York using soil from all 50 states. Racquel collected the soil.

We sang the West Virginia song by Sri Chinmoy.

In the afternoon, the women's team was split into two and covered both the Wheeling Heritage Trail and the Panhandle Trail Walkers Mill Bike Trail.

A 93 year old man was offering free water along one of the trails and a white board for anyone to leave messages.

Archer and his mother hold the torch in Colerain.

We arrived in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in the evening.

Thank you to the Springhill Suites by Marriott for assisting the women's team with overnight accommodation. Your goodwill makes it possible for us to continue along our way, well rested. Terrence holds the Peace Torch and is happy to receive our Certificate of Appreciation as a way of thanks.

All gratitude to Farhan for providing the rooms for us.
