After a good night's rest we started the day in Lugoj and headed towards Timișoara.

...Timișoara celebrated the Olympic Day with a 2 and 4 km race....

...we were invited on stage to present the Peace Run...

...and we passed the peace torch to the people...

A famous guest: Gabriela Szabo, Olympic Champion and one of Romania's greatest athletes...

The mayor of Timișoara received the torch!

...a nice group picture with Gabriela Szabo...

Thank you Timișoara for the enthusiastic welcome!

...we continued our Run and enjoyed the scenic countryside....

...as we arrived in Sagu, a group of children awaited us...

...a meeting at the local church....

...a small meeting, but big hearts! Thank you Sagu!

...the kids went on for quite a distance...

...time to say good bye...

...we arrived in Arad, another beautiful city built in traditional stile...

Arad celebrated the day with several races: from 1 km up to Marathon - all distances were covered by the citizens. Romania is really a running nation!

...we went on stage and presented the torch to the race organiser....

..we got awarded....

...the youngest athlete...

Now it was our turn to run: we partiipated with the torch in the 1 km race!

...a dynamic start....

...it was real fun!

Thank you all for the great day!
