Port Fairy - Nelson

Reported by Rupasi Young 132.0 km

Early morning peace swimmers.

What a beautiful day starts for the peace runners!  The women's team wakes up in Emma's home.

She cooks a delicious porridge with berries and yogurt.  Thank you Emma!

Stacey is the first taking off with the peace torch.  She meets Chelsea, who is so happy to meet Stacey since she was not able to join the welcoming run and program yesterday.

Anastasia takes the first 5K leg of the day.

Vera was happy to see us and share her favorite cat.

Julie prepared tea and treats, a delight for the women's team.  Our heart's were filled with love and gratitude.  We were mesmerised by Emma's family and the oneness community of Port Fairy.  Emma's life took a different turn when her 13 month old daughter Sylvie passed away unexpectedly in her sleep.  Since then, Emma feels a special guidance from Sylvie helping her bring forward the best in her through unconditional service to the community.

After a wonderful good run, the women's team visits Emma's mum Julie.

Meanwhile, the men's team are having an adventure of their own, at Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve with its volcanic landscape and variety of wildlife including koala's, emu's and Wallabies.

Koala spotting was a moment of joy and happiness for everyone.

And a hike around the nature park.

Julie and her kindness sent the women's team happily on their way toward our destination in Nelson.

The men continue running on their way to Nelson, a total of 71k for them today.

And through the forest and woodlands.

We finish the day at the Nelson Tourist Information Center where the team meets Ronda.  We sang the Peace Run song for her, she was very moved.  She truly felt the Peace Run heart while we were singing.

Shaun welcomes us at Kywong Caravan Park where we camp for the night.  Thank you Kywong for providing such excellent camp sites.

Good night Nelson.
