Bad Hall - Ober-Grafendorf

Reported by Dipavajan Renner 125.0 km

We started our day in Bad Hall at the health resort.

Mayor Mag. Bernhard Ruf received our team.

Thank you for the nice welcome!

The mayor joined us for a few symbolic steps!

We enjoyed our running through the forest...

...new friends...

In Sierning a group of kids joined in...

...a presentation at the primary school...

The deputy mayor gave us a warm welcome....

...and after receiving the torch he passed it on to the children...

Thank you Sierning!

...the kids offered us apples...

..we reached Steyr...

We visited Mario Werndl, artist and blacksmith. He gave us a very impressive presentation about his artwork.

...crossing the river Steyr...

We reached the "Stollen der Erinnerung" - a tunnel system under the city of Styr built in WWII by forced labour. Now it is a monument and an exhibition place about war crimes...

City Council Member Ingrid Weixlberger (receiving the torch) and Museum Curator Magistra Katrin Auer (left) gave us a warm welcome.

...we carried the torch through the tunnels...

Thank you for the welcome!

Conny and Lutz, our new friends...

A hot day came to an end. 125km in the heart are no joke. Thanks to everybody for the nice day!
