March 12, 2023 Live from the road

Bungendore, NSW - Canberra, ACT

Reported by Abhijatri Robinson, Harita Davies 40.0 km

Gabriel lighting the torch - we were happy to run with it lit today as there are no fire bans.

We were so happy that Sarankhuu could join the team on the run into Canberra.

Prachar was the first runner in Bungendore - he has run on almost every Peace Run in Australia since 1987.

What a beautiful morning for a run.

Gabriel and Paramananda share a 4 km stretch in the beautiful morning light.

A peace leprechaun...

Paramananda discovered blackberries!

Grahak and Sarankhuu joined up for a 3 km stretch.

Prabuddha in fine form.

We didn't realise Prabuddha had turned 80.

Abhijatri sets off to do 3 km.

New friends Narantuya and Fatima ran their last "On the road" leg together.

Ultra runners Gesiane and Susan zoomed the final section into Canberra together!

The womens' team all met at our final point for the day, the picturesque Grevillea Park on Canberra's iconic Lake Burley Griffin.

Our wonderful team photographer not to be forgotten!!

When the men's team arrived back in Canberra, one runner was happy to discover a whole fridge of chillies.

My Rainbow-Dreams café in Dickson has supplied many team meals and tonight hosted the team for a delicious dinner prepared by team members Sarankhuu and Susan.
Thank you My Rainbow-Dreams!
