1. Enquiry by Contact Form, Email or Phone

If you contact us by our contact form, email or phone, your enquiry — including all personal data contained therein (name, enquiry, ...) — will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not share the obtained data with third parties.

Legal basis for processing: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – the need to respond to the submitted enquiry.

The data we received via our contact form, email or phone will be retained by us until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. once your enquiry has been dealt with), you ask us to delete it or withdraw your consent to its storage.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses only technical (session) cookies that are strictly necessary for the correct display of pages in your browser. These cookies expire when you close your browser.

We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytical or tracking tools.

This website embeds YouTube videos provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

5. Server Logs and Hosting

For security purposes, our web server records technical information about each access (IP address, time of access, page visited, browser type). These records are retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller – ensuring the security of the information system (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The server operator (processor) is Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (info@hetzner.com). The website is operated by Peace Run International z. s., Czech Republic, as the hosting organisation.

Data Processing Agreement: We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with our hosting provider. This is a contract required under data protection law that ensures the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to know what personal data we process about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You have the right to request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure – 'right to be forgotten' (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request deletion of your personal data once the purpose of processing has ceased.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request a temporary restriction on processing.

7. SSL / TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from 'http://' to 'https://' and by the lock icon in your browser bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

8. International Transfers

Your personal data is processed on servers located in Germany (EU). Videos embedded from YouTube and Vimeo may be processed by those platforms in the USA; these transfers are lawful as both companies hold certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

If we expand our services or if new legal requirements necessitate a change to this Privacy Policy, the updated Privacy Policy will apply when you visit our website again.
