Our day began by collecting soil from Iowa

Everyone who is going to leave the team collected a small portion.

This front row is all the team that will be leaving in Minneapolis. Let's hope we manage to get some replacements.

Iowa soil container.

Le Mars, IA - ice cream capital of the World!! So of course we had to have some!

It was certainly hot out on the road.

We called in to Art Sux Gallery in Sioux City and were delighted to meet some of the artists.

Brekky's is a café owned by the councilman Ike Rayford that we met yesterday at the Sioux City Boys and Girls club.

Heather, Elizabeth and Autumn from Family Table restaurant were very excited to see us stop in their parking lot as they had seen the Peace Run on the news.

Peggy Senzarino, editor of Le Mars Sentinel, had lots of questions and was happy to hold the torch.

Soon we were back on the road.

Sheldon, IA bank est 1888.

The men's team called in at DQ for some well earned ice cream.

Meanwhile one of the heroic women's teams was still out in the heat. It is very humid in this region.

Nicole Ludewig, General Manager, of Comfort Inn welcomed the team as we arrived.

Nicole had very kindly arranged for us to do a presentation in the conference room of the hotel.

Mayor of Worthington, Rick von Holdt, greeted the team and gave us a heartfelt welcome.

Mikaela of The Globe came and captured our visit for the local paper.

To finish the evening Nicole joined us outside for a thank you photograph in front of the hotel.
