Japan 23 May: Yonago - Tottori
Rainy day, high spirits
Pindrop silence, many of the team were struck by how well disciplined and attentive the children were.
The children sang a beautiful and moving song for us which was written for a memorial service for Hiroshima. We were very touched by their performance.
The rain was our constant companion today as we ran, actually providing more comfortable running conditions than the heat of yesterday.
Yu-San, one of our Japanese team members has been doing a great job of cheerfully driving and navigating us around his country.
Despite the wet weather, we like to offer some gentle encouragement when we see the runner go by!
Palash and Dhavala perform some skits to demonstrate peaceful and non peaceful behaviour. Does this look peaceful?
Dinnertime saw us treated to a Japanese speciality - Okonomiyaki. You cook your own food on a griddle on the table, it was great fun to cook and delicious to eat!
