Welcome to the Khumjung School also named as Hillary School..

This is the only big school in the whole region that runs classes from Kindergarten to High School. We met many students who come to this school all the way from Namche and even further down the Namche Village walking one hour and more up the stony pathways.

This is 70 year old lady with her daughter behind, climbing all the way up the steep hill almost 3900m high searching for her lost Yak for 15 days..

We are at Namche..

Nipendre Pradhan is very happy to hold the Peace Torch. He lives in Namche and his daughter studies in Brihaspati School in Kathmandu where we had Peace Run Ceremony just a few days ago. His daughter had sent him the photos of the Ceremony. So he immediately recognised Peace Run Team and greeted us with a cheerful surprise.

Running is always joy for the children and here we run with the Peace Torch..

It was amazing to see these children going to the school this road everyday with such ease..

This was an adventure trek for the Peace Run Team.

Gautami and sweta with Fish from Hongkong. We were together in the same flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This is her first time seeing the Mountains and very excited about the EBC trek she is doing.
