Louise Waters has served the community as part of Red Cross for 35 years.

Jane Turner has worked tirelessly to help migrant families integrate into the Australian community through her involvement with English as a Second Language teaching.

Marie Little has devoted her life to helping people in need, in particular, those among us who are physically or intellectually challenged.


Ron Hines

Adelaide veteran runner Ron Hines is a shining example of the endless capacity of the human spirit. A sub-3-hour marathoner in his sixties, Ron continues to run in his eighties, showing that age is no barrier to physical fitness.


Graeme Goodings AM

Graeme Goodings has been a popular television presenter for many years. After battling with bowel cancer in 2004, he used his celebrity status to help other victims of cancer by producing an informative video which deals with the issues presented by this disease in a practical way. He continues to offer inspiring keynote addresses describing his story. (His wife Eve accepted the award on his behalf.)


Patrick Mung and Betty Carrington

Parick Mung and his wife Betty Carrington have worked for their community for many years, setting up for funerals, working with people in the alcohol program, family programs, in council and many other areas of community life. They share their culture and their stories with anyone who needs to hear and are both active members of the Art community too.


Chocolate Thomas

Chocolate Thomas has worked tirelessly in Warmun and his own community to educate people about the language, culture and values of his people. Chocolate gives generously to family and friends. He is known to provide food and shelter to people who require it. He is passionate about working together with all people for the benefit of everyone.
