Taking care of the kitchen...

We would like to thank the La Quinta Inn in Hattiesburg for hosting us for the night

Finally boiled peanuts!
Boiled peanuts, Cajun style or regular, are a specialty of this area (and the South in general). They consist of peanuts boiled with the hull and spiced. Yummy and remarkably addictive.

Nature taking over...(the tree is inside our van)

When friendly locals stop to hold the torch it gives us joy.

Cathy from Collins, MS was so excited to hold the torch and get a photo that her husband went home to get their camera. We are so grateful for their enthusiasm.

Today we were lucky.
We finished our run just before the rain, and even got to see a beautiful rainbow.

Our pizza at Mazzio's place...
We were kindly treated to a delicious meal.

Dennis loves his pizza.

Some of the staff at Mazzio's were quite interested in what we were doing and in listening to all the 'funny' accents.

Thank you Mazzios for treating us to such delicious food!
