Blanchetown - Tanunda

Reported by Grahak Cunningham 70.0 km

River Palms Holiday Park hosted us last night just outside of Blanchetown. Beautiful views of the Sri Chinmoy Peace Blossom River: The Murray,

Mid Murray Mayor Dave Burgess accepting the Certificate of Appreciation. We thank Mayor Burgess for coming and accepting the torch to Blanchetown Primary and participating with such enthusiasm.

Blanchetown Primary was the first stop of the day after a 5 kilometer run into town.

It was a small school and a great meeting. They were the fittest kids we'd met doing several laps of their huge oval.

Thanks to Sonja and Wanda who stopped and gave me some water in the hot weather.

We took some quieter though dustier roads today.

Sasha running 'natural style'.

Lucky he didn't step on the blue tongue.

Awesome Tiwi Island group B2M have recently toured Australian Schools with their inspirational music including the Lutheran School we visited today. They held the torch when the run was being planned in the area.

The Redeemer Lutheran School in Nuriootpa hosted us in the afternoon.

Singing the World Harmony Run Song. There has been conjecture on who first choreographed this song. Was it Prachar or Prabuddha? We may never know!

Down the slide. Although we got stuck.

Thanks to the Tanunda Hotel for looking after us tonight.
