Thank you to Hotel Pacific in Monterey, who provided our team with very beautiful complimentary rooms. We especially enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi under the night's sky.

Today we had a nice start at the Seaside Boys and Girls Club in Monterey.

Suhashini introducing her Balenese monkey dance.

Bashata introducing her country-Serbia.

We sung our Peace Run team song with everyone.

Gautami teaching the kids our Peace Run motto: "Peace Begins with Me" and sharing the idea that we all can make a difference in the world with our own little acts of kindness, understanding and cooperation.

Peace starts inside the Heart of each one of us.

We offered a Jharna-Kala painting for Peace by Sri Chinmoy, the Founder of the Peace Run, and a Certificate of Appreciation to the Seaside Boys and Girls Club. We also presented our Torch-Bearer award to Marlene Trotter-Murray, the Director of the Club, for her wonderful work with the children and the community.

Aptos welcomed us with many peace loving citizens and their warm hearts.

Anna running happily through Aptos.

Along the coastline we met some very nice people and a dog who wished to hold the Peace torch too.

This is what it looked like most of today, running along the beautiful coastline, gorgeous rock formations and magnificent views of the ocean.

Manoshri did not want to stop running.

Cris, the park attendant with good humour, holding the torch with us. He himself is a great admirer of Sri Chinmoy's philosophy of peace and world oneness for many decades.

The boys team with Bernie Brahmadas Shapiro, who we met last night. He spontaneously offerd us a gift card for his restaurant, Dharma's Natural Foods Restaurant, where we picked up our lunch for today. Thank you, it was delicious!

We offered Brahmadas a Jharna-Kala painting as a sign of our gratitude.

Running along the beautiful ocean coast...

Sarvodaya almost took a ride on a motorbike, but then he decided to continue running.

In Half Moon Bay, the police had heard we were running on Highway 1 and decided to come out and provide us with a police escort!
First they escorted Homagni, then Natabara, then Mahasatya as they ran to Pacifica.

At one point, Homagni had a nice line of traffic building up behind him. The runners felt a bit of pressure to run faster as the traffic built up.
Homagni ran through a long tunnel and a gentleman came out of nowhere to join him -- in the tunnel! (sorry, no pic available)

Natabara thanked the police for their kind support. The Sheriff was very kind and friendly as we offered them our brochures. It was truly a spontaneous act of support which gave us a real boost.

The boys almost bought this pumpkin for our dinner, but then they realised it would not fit into our RV.

We were so happy to getting a wonderful and delicious dinner at Ananda Fuara restaurant in San Francisco.

Shubhra, our good friend and one of the excellent cooks at Ananda Fuara, joined us for the lovely and super delicious dinner. We are always happy to see her and enjoy her warm company!

Golapendu, the Manager of Ananda Fuara, and Chandrakanta joined the boys for the dinner as well. Thank you Ananda Fuara for providing our dinner and serving hundreds of hungry San Francisco citizens!

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.
