Set. 21, 2019 Live from the road

Rome

Reported by Salil Wilson

We wanted to have some kind of activity on September 21 the actual day of the United Nations International Day of Peace, which in 2019, was on a Saturday.
In cooperation with i Colori per Pace (Colours for Peace) we utilized their beautiful quilt

Outside the Colosseum we have three banners explaining about the Colours of Peace Exhibition and the Peace Run.

Alfredo De Joannon, President of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Italia invited everyone to join us in celebrating this special day dedicated to global peace.

We observed a moment of silence while passing the Peace Torch.

Many passersby stop to admire the 5000 pieces of artwork from more than 128 countries.

The peace quilt and the children's artwork looked very beautiful next to each other.

The quilt is more than 3.5 km in length

For the benefit of those visiting the Colosseum we held up sections of the quilt.
