United States 31 May: Paso Robles, CA - Seaside, CA

Running with the wind... or rather against it

We would like to thank Black Oak in Paso Robles for their warm welcome to the Peace Run and great accommodation for the team. We are most grateful.

We started our run during a very windy day. Here is Nikolaus the brave beginning to run. It was very hard to run against the wind. Great going guys!

Some beautiful flowers along the way which inspired us to run.

After a few miles it was time to take a break and have lunch. We would like to thank Red Scooter Deli for great salads and sandwiches for the team. It gave us energy to keep going.

We did not meet many people on our run today but Frank we met many many times along our way. Frank is from Germany and he is cycling from Los Angeles up to Vancouver and then east, finishing in New York at about the same time as the Peace Run. We hope to see you again on our journey :)

California oranges... they say that California oranges are the best but our Florida team mate disagrees.

Working hard on the fields.

Our audience today!

Tanuja running on the shoulder!

Great going girls. Team work!

Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the flowers to feel peace.

Homagni jumping with joy...

Pujari showing how far we have gone on the Peace Run.

Julia's Vegetarian Restaurant treated us for delicious dinner. This was the third time the Peace Run has been welcomed to this restaurant.

...and we always enjoy it tremendously.

Thank you Julia's Vegetarian Restaurant for always being here for us.
