San Luis Obispo - San Simeon

Reported by Pierre Lantuas 58.0 mi

This morning we had a very early meeting as the Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo Daybreak invited us for breakfast.

We were amazed to hear how much the club does for the community and in return the members had a lot of questions for us.

We stood by a bear statue representing California and the San Luis Obsipo mission in the background dates from the Spanish time.

Salil felt inspired to be one of the first runners this morning and was even given a bottle of water by an inspired passerby.

There is no time to waste, Jorge is practicing his joystick while waiting for the runner.

Sarankhuu and Atul are seriously preparing for a marathon in August. They were literally flying on the road this morning.

Another great team of Australian-Hungarian cooperation.

It's funny how running for peace makes you meet a lot of interesting people. Many stopped along the road to find out about the Peace Run. Tourists, workers, locals, everyone was interested and had a story to share!

This mountains on the right, the Pacific Coast on the left, today's run was a really scenic one.

The mens team finishing all together.

The mens team finished in Harmony! (a little town near San Simeon)

Our Australian runner thought it was one of the most beautiful coastlines since the beginning of the run.

Sanaz joined a few days ago but she's planning to run all the way to the end! Go Sanaz! Go!

By the end of today's run we all wanted to do as the seals, enjoy the sun on the beach but the water is getting colder and colder, let's bet on who is the last to go for a dip as we run further North!
