United States 26 May: San Diego, CA - Long Beach, CA

The Peace Torch goes from hand to hand

At the start of our day we joined the 2 mile race organized by the San Diego Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team.
The race is held every Saturday morning at 8:07 am. It starts and finishes by the statue of the Oneness - Home Peace Run founder Sri Chinmoy.

From Normal Heights, San Diego we drove to Belmont Park where we met with our new team members, Papaha and his tennis students Alana (in red) and her father Tony Rusnak (left from Alana). They ran with us for 2 miles. Sophia (with the torch) ran with us for nine miles.

Alana makes a silent wish for peace...

... and takes off with the torch.

Thank you Tony and Alana for running with us.

Sophia really enjoyed running with us... and we enjoyed running with her :)

Vasudha, our dear friend and host for the last few days in San Diego, joined us for a few miles along the beach. Thank you Vasudha for taking such a good care of us.

Sophia is not only very talented in tennis but she is a great runner, too.

We met many, many people on today's journey. They all contributed their wishes and prayers for peaceful world.

Sophia finished her 9 mile run in Torrey Pines. Her father Les Faulder joined her for the last stretch.

Next group of runners and some more of Papaha's tennis students joined at Torrey Pines State Reserve Beach.

One minute of silence before we start running.

Thank you for running with us.

Odgiv from Mongolia joined our Peace Run in San Diego. He introduced us to his family.

The Yard House at Shoreline Village Restaurant treated us for Dinner. Thank you, Josh, for welcoming us.
